Help-Lowering the roof
I am rebuilding my home that was destroyed by Katrina and I am almost finished with the "before" layout, but I do not know how to lower the roof.
I am using Home Designer Suite 7
The south and north facing walls in the house onl come up to the waist about 4 ft. How do I do it?
Can I just lower the roof and have it cut off the walls?
Thanks in advance,
iam

Very Cool _Now that you mention it
I am glad to be around such help. LOL
As you mention it, There is something else I have run into. There is an overhang over the front door. How do I create the it. It has roofing tiles on top. do I create it as a room?
Thanks,
ben

That is probably the easiest way to do it. Create a room called a porch and make whatever you don't want invisible. Select a roof over it and set the pitch, on the outside-most wall, to match. The side walls are gable ends selected.

I built a house using this and am still find it Mickey Mouse quality.

While your rebuilding the roof, try boxed eves..
If there a reason for the extra row of cinder blocks in one part?Might be a floor height..Allen Colburn Jr.

When you rebuild you roofs there may be parameters to set you overhang on your eaves if you want it to match your picture more closely.

Wow. Thanks for all the responses.
I will try as much as I can. First, I tried the room as a porch but then saw that there was and "entrance" option and chose that. It worked out pretty well but not perfect. Suggestions welcomes especially on the gutters on the entrance.
The extra cinderblock on the side is caused by the stairs directly to the left of the doorway.
