1. Can't really help you with this one; it really depends on your local building codes.
2. You can import and use textures (like flooring material, fabric, colors) but not symbols (appliances, furniture.) You can import pictures of things like refrigerators. Check your program help for how to import and use materials; it should cover it pretty throughly.
3. I think the code checker gives a warning if they are less than 26 inches deep, but I will have to check that. Your version should have the code checker.Cris Waller

with the exception of some smaller more rural communities, most building departments are pretty strict when it comes to stairways. They generally state treads and risers of stairs shall be so proportioned that the sum of two risers and one tread, (not including the nosing which is an overhang of usually 1") shall not be less than 24" or more than 25". Max height of risers 7 3/4" and treads shall not be less than 9" (again does not include the nosing).
So, in other words, if you have a riser height of 7 1/4" (the sum of 2 would =14 1/2") your treads could not be less than 9 1/2" or wider than 10 1/2". 14 1/2" + 9 1/2"=24 or 14 1/2" + 10 1/2" = 25". 36" clear is usually the minimum allowable width.
There are other requirements for the rails etc. If you are in the jurisdiction of a larger city / county give them a call.

Closets should be 24" inside dimensions=2'4" if you go interior wall centers.
Keep your treads simple, here they can be 9",most places 10" minimum..
Don't try and figure other sizes, not worth it..Allen Colburn Jr.
