No rain, not even any thunder... but it's getting a bit cooler. We're off to the movies for a couple of hours of air-conditioned bliss...

Dee, Rochester is about 350 miles away from New York. Believe me, upstate NY is a whole other country from New York City, in so many ways. It's more like New England. I hate NYC!

Winter here starts in late November and lasts until mid-April. But it's worth it for the beautiful summer and fall we get. Makes you appreciate them even more, if you know what I mean!

I was born and raised in Texas, and we moved to Rochester when I was 16. I didn't want to go -- I was so angry at my parents -- I was a teenager and they were tearing me away from my boyfriend and all my friends. But I swear that once we got here, I thought I had died and gone to heaven, it's so beautiful by comparison.

I guess most of us love where we live, though -- otherwise we wouldn't live there!!
