Error - Cannot lower this kneewall

I am getting an error message 9043 in Home Designer Suite telling me "Cannot lower this kneewall. Are the walls perpendicular and down the roof on either side of it gable walls?"

What does that mean?

This means that on the floor below this floor the end walls should be set as full gable walls.
