Fireplace Sharing - and need to pick Allen's Brain

Thought I would share my latest fireplace and room creation.

The reason you are seeing links to the other two fireplaces that I designed is because - even if you close HDPro, there must be a filter of some sort that recognizes old posted jpegs, even though they were renamed.

Allen, you post a lot of stuff that is an exact copy of a already upload jpeg. Please share your secret on how you get around this issue. Renaming is not solving the issue.

The piece at the top is the wrought iron balcony.
The piece in center of fireplace is from the Stanisci Range hood.
The doors are stainglass changed by PSP to neon.
The graille is from exterior from exterior trimmings.

You certainly have been doing a lot of thinking outside that box!

I'm going now to work some more on my new found transparency tool. Lots to download.

Your are not talking about me; you are talking about my neighbor across the street. If it is on the curb for the trash man, it is in their yard. They even go through the trash bags looking to see what we throw away. They got cited by the police for that little stunt; cost them a little bit of money too. The joke is - we did not catch them doing it; the cops did while cruising through the neighborhood rounding up truants.

I didn't know that looking through trash on the curb was a crime. I would think that anything of that nature would be fair game. How come they got cited?

Around here if people have things they don't want and are still good. They put it out by the curve rather than just throwing it away..
I put things out a lot,to lazy to sell them..
Offer things to relatives=Oh yea I want that, and then never come and get it..

With identity theft, you don't want people going through the trash..

So once the trash ends up at the landfill or dump, is it still an offence if someone goes through it?

In San Diego we have a mandatory recycling bill up for approval by the County Board of Supervisors and the City of San Diego Board members; we all must seperate our trash into seperate containers for the trash trucks that come by.

It is okay for someone to remove usable items from their neighbors curb area, but it is not okay to open trash bins or bags to investigate the contents of the bag. That is what they got the citation for - going through a trash bag.

Items retrievable by scavangers must be clearly displayed on the street and not within a trash container or plastic bag.

In fact, we just received notice that come October 1 our trash company will be providing us with another large container for household trash; which, means no more putting black bags on curb. So there will be a blue recycling bin and grey household trash bin.

Just to your sense of smell.
I think that would be trespassing on the landfill property..
Sorry Bee,no dump picking for you.
    Try dumpster diving...

Our regulations are not as stringent. We are not obligated to recycle or anything like that - even though it is encouraged.

I was actually interested in the legal aspect of what Dee had initially said, ie. where does one's right to privacy end - in one's house or or on the side of the road - or even as far as the final destination of one's refuse?

    Visualize this as a probablility:

Under building codes for this county, your building a fence which by code is required to be offset from the front by X number of feet. Which means that if you want to build a 6 foot fence completely around the property that has a street and alley view - you can't. You have to have your property surveyed to find the correct distance of offset X - and offset X is in the middle of the street. Any fence building between the street and the beginning point of offset X is coded as being able to have a 42" fence height.

Our plot plan states that we "own" 1/2 of the 20 ft wide alley, but we can't build on it. And that we "own" 10 ft of the northerly property (the street), and again we can not build on it (obvious reasons). But we are TAXED on the portion of "owned" property that is inaccessible to us for building upon.

We found this out when we built a 7 ft high fence; we got around the code by adding 18" of lattice to both the front and side fencing. So, I have my 7 ft fence from the offset point and a 54 inch fence from the street to the offset point. According to the county as long as users of the alley can see both ways before entering the street, than we are okay.

So, with all that said, I would say that the privacy stops in the middle of the alley and middle of the street.
