Looking for Symbol or Image
Does any one have a really nice upper class resturant or expensive dining room type chandelier?
I am having difficulties creating image and am seeking your assistance.
Needs to be able to fit into room that has 100 inch ceiling above a 36 inch dining table.Home Designer Pro 10

Dee-try this link:
www.gallery84.com, and http://www.lampsplus.com/Products/Chandeliers has a good selection; since I haven't figured out yet how to make images for the library I wouldn't know exactly where to begin. There aren't any dimensions listed.
Hope this helps.

I too am having problems with creating an image from a photo or web image I like.
I was sort of hoping one of the ladies who do it all the time would chip in.
They of course are at work, so it won't be till tonight I will know if they read my plea.
Then there is Allen, he's usually at home with his dog.Home Designer Pro 10

Pick one that you like, Dee, and I'll give it a shot. It should only take a couple of minutes. (I have PhotoShop at work, too, so I can mess around with stuff like that here. I try not to let myself do it too often, though! )
Actually, I hadn't thought of using an image of a chandelier. That might work out pretty well, you'll have to let us know.Kathleen Moore

I did a crystal chandelier, but it was too complex and didn't come out very well, plus the .png file was too big to attach anyhow. I'm going to pick a simpler one and try again.

OK, try this one -- let's see if the .png file works for a download. If not, I'll turn it into a .zip file.
NOPE, SORRY -- NOT HAPPY WITH IT YET. I'LL TRY AGAIN IN A MINUTE.Kathleen Moore

Thank you for offering to help; either one of these two pics will accomplish the look being sought.
Allen, I think what I need to do is just close the plan down and concentrate on learning IMAGES. Just need a better step-by-step picture tutorial.
I promise that I will get it; I have to, what would I do if something happened to any of you? I'd be on my own any how.Last edited by Deirdre; 04-06-2008 at 06:18 PM.

Very nice, Joel.
Here's the other one I worked on. This is just a jpg because the .png file is just a little bit too big to attach. Let me know if you'd like it and I'll email it to you.Kathleen Moore

Even though there is a lot of discussion about "ray trace" there is a significant amount of information on how to work with an image.
I had seen this post yesterday, but I was only scanning for zip files. This is going into my pdf folder "How De Do Dat". Thanks for making me actually read the whole discussion.Home Designer Pro 10

After babysitting for three hours with the granddaughters, I come home to THIS! I have not laughed so much; I got to go to the bathroom because of you guys.
All offers submitted are welcome. It will provide an opportunity to see which one really sets well in a formal dining area.
