Even though there is a lot of discussion about "ray trace" there is a significant amount of information on how to work with an image.

I had seen this post yesterday, but I was only scanning for zip files. This is going into my pdf folder "How De Do Dat". Thanks for making me actually read the whole discussion.

Hey, very nice and very classy Dee!!

The only thing I would suggest is something Christina suggested in that long ChiefTalk thread about chandeliers, which is making some sort of ceiling round or rosette to attach your chandelier to. Most chandeliers like that don't attach directly to the ceiling, at least not the ones I've seen.

Sorry to just be joining in, but BB's post sent me to do a lot of virtual shopping for lights and I just got thru downloading. There's a whole world of lights out there!

I wasn't being completely selfish, tho', because I kept my eyes open for what you might have been looking for. I'll let you see a few if I can get them small enough. Another thing, I tried to limit my downloads to chandeliers that had long chains with caps at the top for that finished look.

Thank you ladies; but now I have a question for you - what version of Adobe Photoshop are you using?

I have been researching the Adobe's web site, and what I have found is that APS Element 5 has the ability to remove the background and keep the image you want to use.

Hubby just went to Best Buy - if I want to send him to Hawaii tonight, which just happens to have 7 copies of Element 5 - I can get it tonight.

Element 6 won't be delivered for another couple of weeks. So, it boils down to this - do I go on-line and download Element 5 or Element 6?

I've mentioned before that I use PS Elements 2.0 and it works just fine for me. I don't know what I'm missing in the more advanced versions. Maybe if I did I'd want one of them!!!

I'm using Paint Shop Pro X2 and it is working wonderfully for me with images. Here's a lamp which I downloaded and I'm pleased with the effect.

Well, it turns out that Element 5 would have problems with my operating system - Vista; so I am going to have to get Element 6.

Still don't have the hang of it when it comes to PaintShop Pro Photo X1 yet.

After reviewing what Element 5 does with graphics and images (three clicks and thats it) I think I am just going to have to make the plunge. Even though Element 6 is not in the stores yet, at least not Best Buy, I want to do this so bad.

Besides, I would not be too positive if I could even find a PS2, let alone getting it to work with Vista.
