In Pro, you can't make "more" wall types than are already in the plan but you can create "new" wall types. Let me explain this because it is probably going to confuse people. In Pro, you can modify any of the wall types that are in the plan. This means that you can change the name to anything you want, add or remove any of the layers (up to a max of 10), set the thickness, and then set the material for any of these layers.

So if you want to make a new wall type, just change one of the ones that is in the plan (one that you are not going to use) into what you want. I think Pro ships with something like 16 different wall types which means as long as you don't need more then this, you have lots of options.

You should be able to make yourself a wall with brick on one side and siding on the other and even 8 layers of what ever you want in between.

    Allen,

It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about. Sorry, I'm a little slow. I got the file, thanks.

Kilgore, thanks to you as well. This was what I thought I was going to need to do. I was just asking the questions to make sure.

Thanks you all for your input.

Allen - Obviously, I missed something essential. Perhaps I'm getting tired or something. Need to have a fresh look at it

Allen, were you the little obnoxious kid in that movie; it is ironic that you have the "Leg" lamp and now the Carbine........ oh, we are going to tell on you to Santa.

Where have I been; let's see, oh yeah, organizing help documents that I have been collecting since 2005. Replacing a few with actually newer updates from 6.0 to 7.0. More detailed infact. One I had went from being a one pager to seven pages.

I now have three notebooks for different categories -- Interior, Exterior, and General notes and samples.

I haven't even played with my plan today (and I am working on the second floor finally). Got my two dogs included from Images I made, included your man and woman farmers into the plan, but had to kick the cow out because it was too fuzzy.

Got to go eat now, then back to organizing and update How To Do It project.
