Adding Corbels under Gable Roof

I'm trying to create a Craftsman-style gable roof by adding 3 corbels. I'm using Home Designer Suite 7.0. I downloaded the corbels and can put them on a wall. However, I don't seem to be able to move them up onto the attic wall so that they actually meet the roof. From the elevation view, they can move along the second floor wall, but stop at the second floor ceiling. When I try to add them to the attic wall I get an error message. Any ideas? Have you tried holding down the Control key on your keyboard while moving the corbel?
