Stairway over Stairway
I've got one stairway on top of another. When I try to move the narrower upper one so it is more directly over the botom one, it falls down onto the lower one. The upper one has a vertical rise of 108" and the lower one 120" (15 treads vs. 17 treads) so the bottom one is longer but only by 3". I can't slide the top one back even 6" and it falls down below. I don't think the upper one being narrower would affect it?
Any suggestions on how I can slide the top one back?Phil

Hi Phil
Close up the open below room first..
This is a guess because I have never heard of that problem before..Allen Colburn Jr.

Allen's suggestion fixed my problem (see new pic). My lower stairway "room" (enclosed with an invisible wall) had "Open Below" selected and since my upper stairway was narrower and shorter, it would fall down onto the lower one as soon as I tried to put it over the other. Rick, try setting the middle floor stairway "Room" to Open Below and see if the upper stairs fall onto the lower.
Thanks!

I fixed my problem by putting an invisible wall shrinking my "Open Below" stairway room on floor 1. This fix indicates the problem had to do with the stairs being enclosed in small rooms of their own, a bit longer than the stairs, that were "Open Below". It's fixed now.
Thanks.Phil
