I changed the ceiling height to the standard 96 from 108 and these "s" letters appeared all over the walls....I can't get them to go away. Anyone know what they are?

It's the result of a "Stepped Footing". Double-click on the Wall Tool toolbutton and un-check the radio button to turn them off. (see attached)

Or, fix your foundation so it doesn't have "steps"
