Arch Over Stove
I'm trying to draw a arch over the range to enclose the exhaust fan. I've tried many different tricks, but I can't make anything even remotely look good, short of spending an entire day ticky tacking sofits together to give an illusion.
Is this ability to easily draw arches available in Pro? I've seen posts for curved sofits, but I was unable to load the .alb(?) in my version.
I know there's sales and I know there would be a ton of time savings if this were available.
Thanks

Hi Mike,
I was thinking you might be able to use an arched doorway and remove the casings, but this would only make the face have the arch.
Hang in there, someone will come along with suggestion.

Doorways want walls to attach to. But I did think of that. Tried Valances too...but that got ugly on me.
Seems there should be a way to easily draw this w/o having to create 7.2 million sofits each with a rise/run of 1/8 of an inch. Rendering that will become painful even with my Cray Super Computer...or was that Crayola I can never remember...

Pro has angled soffits.
If I'm reading your original question correctly, you want to know if you can easily do this with Pro? Well it does do angled soffits.
I did this in under 5 minutes in Pro. If that is what you are talking about.Jodi

That would definately put me in the ballpark faster and easier.
Although the end goal is more of an arch than cathedral.....it is still way better than 1" steps and 12 individual sofits per ft of rise.....
But is it still not possible to draw an archway?
As for the "wall"....I just don't see a way of drawing a wall that only goes from x to y where x > floor and y < ceiling. I.E. Half wall that "sits" on counter top.

Draw Wall. Check
Elevation View. Check
Won't give me handles on wall....Must be limitation of Deluxe vs Pro.
Thanks.Mike
