New product coming late January?
This is stupid... but I saw a post earlier today that confirmed a new product coming in late Jan(?) for a list $199 that seemed to add some features to what HD Deluxe has. Now I cannot find that post. Anyone know where I saw this and what I am referring to?

If you are thinking about that product at $200 you should consider the special offer for Pro 7 for less than $250Last edited by daydreamer; 01-04-2008 at 04:39 PM.

Well here's what it said
New - Architectural Home Designer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, in fact there will be a new product out by the end of January. It will be BH&G Architectural Home Designer. The MSRP will be $199. As the date gets closer, we'll post more information on that product - until then, here's a few of the new features:
-Improved Material Painter® Tool with Material Definition – enhanced control of material appearance, and now change the color of a material simply and easily – like changing the color of siding, roofing or other materials
-A New Library Render preview – browse the library items with a full 3D preview before you place them in your design
-A New User Interface with both Drop-Down toolbars and the classic parent-child toolbars
and....
- A New Virtual Walk-Thru Tool – Draw Your Record Line to Automatically Generate
More to come.

Way North of those areas though I am familiar with them as I worked in Lombard at Finnley & Highland from about 1985-1988. I am close to Gurnee area and work in Libertyville.

I'm new to HomeTalk and am planning to purchase Achitectural HD or HD Pro 7. I've reviewed several posts trying to determine my best choice. I've seen HD Pro priced at Costco for $399.00 and Achitectural HD at $199.00. It would seem that with HD Pro 8 looming on the horizon, HD Pro 7 for $250.00 would be a great choice but I can't follow this link and I don't have the "Off Topic forum " that the post references.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

I spoke with Chief Architect's Sales Department, they are expecting HD Pro 8 at the end of March. The $250.00 promotion referenced in the earlier post has expired and they don't know yet what incentives may be offered once HD 8 is released.
Thanks for the info.

Too little, too late.
I hope they have discounts on Pro 7 following 8 release. I'm not sure that I want to wait until late March...April to purchase. I assume they will have an upgrade path to 8.Brent
