No piers under my deck posts

I have a deck in my design and the piers do not appear under the posts. The tutorial implies the piers should appear with the advanced deck framing, but I am not getting them.

The are several threads in this forum regarding getting rid of the piers, but I have not found one for when they are not there.

When I try to place them manually I seem to be only able to place them on layer 1 and I would expect them to go to layer 0. Also, when I place them manually they are a bear to get rid of.

    Any advice?

    Dave,

Change the elevation under the deck. Right now the grass is covering the piers.

Hey Rick, I don't have any terrain defined right now. When I angle the 3D camera I see the bottom of the foundation, which is quite a view, but still no piers.

That was it. I just created a blank terrain and rebuilt the deck framing. Still did not see the piers because now they were covered by grass like Rick said. The 3D camera view from below quickly showed they were there.

    Thanks,

If you want to see them after.
Raise the terrain, build the framing and then lower your terrain
