2D Floor Plans

I need to insert wood floors with area rugs on a 2D floor plan. I can do this in 3D but not in 2D. I can place furniture but not the wood floor and area rugs.

I have had this program for a while and just started to use it.

1. What is the default setting for flooring in your application? Wood or tile or carpet? Surely you have the capability to edit the defaults; but if you don't just open the room's dialogue box and select your flooring style from the libraries material list.

2. Rugs are an interior accessory; therefore they are placed in the plan the same way furniture is placed. Keep in mind that you should start with the rugs first and then place the furniture. If you add rugs last, your furniture may be hidden under the rug.
