    I don't know why. It seemed at the time the only way to get the staircase going up. Every time I created a new stairs and clicked on auto stairwell I got a message (see thumbnail # 1 post # 14).
    Now I deleted the entire foundation, created a new one with new dimensions where I wanted the walk-in basement to be and deleted all the other walls of the rest of the foundation and made the terrain skirt flat.
    I don't know what happened, but I already did other small plans, only one room just to practice basement and stairwell and I didn't have any issues.
    It took me the harder way to get the easier way.... dah!!!!

    Sometimes you just need to go through the process a few times to get things right.
    Just think about it as good practice...
