    Protuding Window (Library Browser\Windows)

I am working with the Library Browser\Windows\Protruding\6450.

The word "protruding" is self explanatory -- window juts out away from exterior wall --- but it looks ridiculous.

How would you fix the air gap between wall and window. IT IS HUGE.

Well that is really strange. I did the exact thing as you, using the protruding window 6450 and got that gapping hole on the inside, but when you view it from the outside there is no gap.

Projected window in the "Old-school" terminology meant "individual small pains of glass that over-lapped each other like a vent, opened with a crank handle. I think I remember them being called "jalousie". I can't imagine why you would have a projected window without walls I found a pic of one.

Asked my husband about this and he said that sometimes he thickens up a wall so the window can pop out a bit. But in the program I tried to thicken up the wall, still got the gapping hole from viewing inside, but the view from the outside was flush.

I can already hear someone saying "use a soffit"

Yeah, I kept changing the depth of the wall too with no connection. Really wierd. So I changed the window to something else that would work in a Mediterr design.

Allen is right (he always is though ) When I did the 6450 and the RT3050 the gap is there although it doesn't show in plan. But, the gap in my case doesn't seem to be as great as with the window you did, the siding may have something to do with that. The other protruding windows don't, because they seem to have their own wall.

Dee-did you ever send it in to Tech support and get them to fix it? I was wondering if they're going to do a fix for all of us with Pro 7

Yes, I just sent it off and referred to them to the forum site for additional pictures besides the one that I attached.

Hope to hear from them soon.

    Tech-Support Response (Brian Beck)

Well, here is the answer, but not the one we wanted:

    Deirdre,

This does look like a problem with these 2 particular window symbols. I have reported this to our content development team and hopefully they will be able to fix the problem in a future release.

    Thanks

Columns, me thinks might be a good alternative. Ah heck with it, just chalk it up as a window that obviously never was popular.
