What to do when windows forget you?
Frustrated. I had to realign the front wall of this plan (again) because the 45 degree wall corners do not want to align themselves and behave. This makes the brick quoining look really bad!...LOL This wall is attached to the angled wall involved.
When I was done (finaly) I render and find two windows MIA. Well I have deleted and replaced them, deleted all the soffits and redone them to no avail. I cannot find anything wrong with the plan or the object's dbxs.
Any ideas before the dynamite comes out?BH&G Pro Rev. 7.08

On the angled wall -- how close is it to the ground? It appears that the terrain is sloping down toward that window. Is it possible that the terrain is not elevated low enough below the foundation for the window sill to clear the terrain elevation? In the plan the wall looks large enough to accomodate the window. 7ft is more than enough for a single window.

Do you have an extra wall there.
Delete the wall and see.
Or did you drag or copy paste the windows there from another place(floor)..Allen Colburn Jr.

Looks to me like the step in the foundation might be causing the problem.

Well thanx for all your quick responses and ideas. I feel like the guy at the bottom of the football player heap...LOL
I blew it. I didn't save the plan over top of the latest version and the problem went away!
However, the wall alignment problem was back and this time I went at it a little differently. Deluxe never needed roofs removed??? I deleted the roofs and the walls seemed to be easy to move without disconnecting walls and everything is aligned again.
This wall alignment thing has many quirks here. I have a joint on my cold cellar to the front wall consisting of three walls
- 8 inch concrete wall for the cold cellar/porch
-10 inch concrete wall for the inside of same
- pony wall with 10 inch concrete and 2x4 wall with 2" foam and brick on top
Next floor is a 2x6 wall with 2" foam and brick.
They don't like to line up automatically and if I change anything, they like to jump to where I don't want them (auto-alignment)
If there is one thing I would change in this software is to turn off all auto-ajustments without asking on each occasion. Just like..... no, MS asks and then does it anyway...LOLBH&G Pro Rev. 7.08

You need to check your Wall layers to see what they are aligning to.
See what layer "Build platform to this layer" is set on each wall type.

Thanx
I have been to those wall setups a hundred times and I can't make any sense out of them. Two arrows seem to point at random to layers. The checkmarks show up sometimes and others they don't. If you select a layer the other grey out and aren't selectable so you cannot select the ones you want. If you select a layer and check it the next time you open the wall dbx it is different anyway???????
Just when I think I have them figured out, I don't...LOLBH&G Pro Rev. 7.08

Clicking on the Radio button under main layer means exactly what it says.
First make your wall layers.
Then select your main layer using the radio buttons.
Click in the boxes under Layer Thickness to the right of each layer you will see the arrows move on the wall detail. Click in the box that you want as your layer to "build platform and dimension to" then click in each of those boxes. You can do the same thing by clicking on the "left" side of the detail in the Wall Type Definitions dbx. The arrow on the right is a pointer used for the Layer Material on the right side of the dbx.
