Did you manually draw the Floor 1 porch roof planes?
If you did, that may be why you are losing 2nd floor walls.

It will cut them off. You need to cut the roof plane around the entry.
I made a quick model of your plan.
    See attached pics.

Do you know how to use the break line tool for the roof plane?

Tell me more about the 2nd floor elevation. I don't understand.

if you look inside the 2nd elevaton of the house on the 2nd floor you can see that the rafters are sitting on basically a knee wall and not on the floor(where they want to be!) is the break line tool like the break wall too? the problem is im stuck trying to keep the roof out of the porch.

Sorry wayne, I don't see what you mean. If I could figure out what you are talking about I would gladly help you. Can you post a "dollhouse" view of your problem?

To use the Break Line tool and actually break the roof plane line you must double-click the Break line tool button. This will allow you to drag the line and also produce a perpendicular line at the same time.

Keep the roof off of what porch?

    Smile ill get this yet!

im having trouble getting the roof plane around the front entry .(front porch) i sliced the full render in half so you can peek inside. can you see how the rafters of the main roof dont sit on the attic floor but actually sit on a knee wall about 2 feet off the floor! (slice)
