    Roof questions

I have Suite 6.0 and I'm trying to work on the roof. I'd like to have the main part of the house have a gable roof. Attached to the main part of the house is a gable roof as well, in the same direction at the main part of the house.

The garage roof is meant to be a couple feet lower than the house roof, and gabled on the outside of the garage and but up against the gable of the main house.

Here is my plan, here are the results:

As you can see, the roof is totally messed up. I just really want a simple design. A basic gable above the main house, and a basic gable above the garage. I would like the popouts to make perpendicular out from the gable - it should look really simple.

The gable above the main house should not drop down when it hits the popout, it should be at least where it is on the right side of the house.

The garage should have one big gable and the one popout from the bonus room. The roof of the garage should not connect to the roof of the main house.

The roof line on the front of the house over the main door is fine. I like it the way it is.

    Thanks,
    Jason

I had an epiphany and was able to get the popout working on the main roof. I simply moved the break from the back of the left front bedroom to be even with the backmost of the popout on the right side of the popout. This also adequatley separated the main roof from the garage roof.

However, the garage still looks like garabage. I want the garage to have one roof, with the popout. It's almost like I need to create a roof for the garage itself, and then add the room as an "afterthought" to the software...

    Thanks,
    Jason

What did I have to do to make it work the way I wanted? I did have to remove the bonus room. Now that I know more about it, I probably only had to make the room an attic and it would have worked.

    Anyway, it is fixed.
