Adding Plant Images to a picture

I am trying to add plant images to a picture of the front of a house. I was under the impression by what the seeling points say, that my software allows for this. However,
I have imported the picture and it does the plants like they were on the plan view only. If anyone knows how this works I would greatly appreciate the guidance.
