    Question Wood stove hearth pad

I've got Home Designer Pro 6. I'm trying to design a flat hearth pad for a wood stove. The covering on the hearth would be tile, the rest of the room would be "pergo" style wood flooring. What do I use as a seperator between the hearth and wood floor? Ideally I would like a section of the hearth to step up about a foot to provide a raised platform for the wood stove to make it easier to load wood into the stove.

Use a soffit and place it on the floor, size it to what ever you like and change the material to what ever you want.

Bruce, I hope this reply is not too late to help. I created the hearth shown in the attachment with two slabs, one on the floor and one on the wall. The nice thing about the slab over a soffit is you can change (at least in Pro 8; I don't know about Pro 6) straight sides to curved sides.
