place a staircase

Hi, Im trying to place a simple staircase but when I click the Auto Stairwell button I get an error message saying "Cannot find height of avobe floor. Possible system problem". Error 17014.
Could someone help me with this problem??

I do have 2 floors, floor 1 and floor 2. On the menu I have the arrows "Up one floor" and "Down one floor" meaning that the 2 floor exist.

Did you change the floor height of the second floor?

Im using the default dimensions for the second floor. I did a new floorplan with 4 walls and added a second floor, I placed a staircase and I got the same message when I tried to place the stairwell. Im not changing dimensions of the floor, Im just using the default settings. Im working with Designer 7.08.
