how to create a crawl space

Newbe here I just got home designer suite 8.5.5.28 So far seems to be a good program.

The problem is that I cannot seem to create a crawl space for an addition. A simple room 16 X 20 to an existing home on a slab. The slab works well but when I try to draw a crawl space up to 2 ft on luck.

Any advice would be appreciated

What kind of problem are you having with creating the crawl space?

The new room has to be up 2’ out of the flood plane above the slab. If I try to add a short basement (crawl space) it defaults to the slab or adds a basement to the slab. I cannot separate the foundations.
