visible beam below ceiling

How can I draw a visible beam below the ceiling?

The beam will actually be the lower chord of the roof truss.

If you are using the Pro version you can create a beam from the framing tools. You will need to show framing in your 3D views to see this.

In the Suite you can acomplish this by using the soffit tool and placing and modifying a soffit.
