tips re: rooms under stairs
Does anyone have any tips to simplify utilizing the space underneith a set of stairs. I'm in the typical older house where a 1/2 bath was retrofitted into the closet under the stairwell but can't seem to accurately depict this in the plan. I built the room then put in the stairs. Realized I could no longer see the room to place the fixtures. Deleted the stairs, placed the fixtures, rebuilt the stairs. Went to elevation and realized the walls from the 1/2 bath cut through the stairs. Deleted the stairs again, tried removing the walls and replacing them with invisible walls and rebuilding the stairway a third time but I evidently goofed it up somehow because the stairs still don't look right and the bathroom is now part of the hallway. I'm getting frustrated.

Once you get your walls in place you might want to hit F12 on the keyboard. This rebuilds walls floors and ceilings and should allow the stairs to cut the walls where they need to be cut.
