Are these custom pieces that you've imported? Because if you created a material from a photo or something on your computer, and then moved it from its location within Windows, it wouldn't be displayed in your plan anymore. Also, textures (like artwork, photos, etc) don't display in Cross Section Elevation views, only in render camera views.
