Covered porch under vaulted ceiling in Pro 6.04

I've built a porch which is under a manual roof plane. The newel posts stop in mid-air rather than continuing up to the roof. The walls are deck railing type. Anyone know how to make the posts go up to the ceiling? Picture attached. Thanks, jpr137.

Posts like this will reach to the ceiling height. You could raise the ceiling height but some of your posts would then go through the roof.

You may want to consider using another option in this case.

For example you might use a soffit or framing member that you can edit to create the posts manually.
