Yes, actually the way Allen did it is exactly the way I did it, then just deleted the unneeded walls.
From your plan, it looks like you haven't set the end walls (top and bottom ends of the H arms) as gable walls. All four of those walls, plus the two ends of the crossbar, need to be set as full gable walls.Kathleen Moore

Oh wait, I just re-read the part about wanting hip roofs on the ends. In that case, you need to make sure that Full Gable Wall is UN-checked for those 4 walls.

Un-checked ==> not checked. Turned off. Not a selected option.
Right?Kathleen Moore

Well here i am again.
I think i should start a new thread but can not figure out how to do so. I believe that my problem is unique as i can not find it in any of the treads. I have gotten all of my roofs done and as a final walk around i noticed two thinks. 1 A odd color line around the grabbles of the house. I have tried to eyedrop them and i get the can not color platform error. i made sure all of the alignments are correct and that they do not have some type of funky room specs. the second issue is a gap in my roof (shown below) i am trying to replicate my house and the roof goes all the way to the right exterial wall. i do have a gap (invisable wall) there on the floor plan so that the office will come out further then the rest of the house. I can not figure this out. can anyone help. I hope this tries to explain it, the pics are worth a thousand words. let me know if you need further explaaining.
thank.
