cement or stone walls
Heya all,
I live in Germany but I do not speak the language so good to use German's Data Becker house design software. My question: Does this software have the option to build a house with cement or non wood materials? Since in Germany a majority of the homes are cement walls, or brick type walls, I need to design with the material that is available. Many thanks to any replies.

Thanks for the quick answer. I was thinking of getting home designer deluxe. I know I will still need an architect but at least that person will know what we would like.

The 400 hundred or so is a bit too much for me. If I get the deluxe, will I be able to upgrade later on? And will the deluxe also have the wall material option too?

Yes you can upgrade.
Think you can change the walls to.Some one with that version will have to answer..Allen Colburn Jr.

It probably sounds like it might be a bit much but when you consider how much it's going to cost you for architectural support then it's really only pennies.
See this link for upgrades http://www.homedesignersoftware.com/rebates/
or send an email about upgrading.
I don't have deluxe so I can't comment on whether it can do it or not.

I don't think Deluxe can edit walls (old user of it) but you can paint them brick and masonary colours. It will not reflect on the bill of materials list though.
So it depends on wheteher you just need looks or actual construction information. (Deluxe or Pro)BH&G Pro Rev. 7.08

-GeForce 8600GT

I built a house using this and am still find it Mickey Mouse quality.

So only the pro would include the correct listing of materials for the bill? I guess this is okay since I do not think that Pro would account for Euros instead of dollars nor for the prices of materials here in Germany. Or would the Pro version do this?

The materials list works a lot like an Excel Spreadsheet, in fact it can be exported into an Excel spreadsheet.
The materials list allow you to input your pricing information and Unit information. It performs the math.
Attached is a sample from HD Pro 7.
