Stairs Fill Color
Hi,
I am using home designer Deluxe 7.04 to produce 2D floorplans for real estate agents, and am looking to upgrade to chief architect. I have downloaded the trial version and am having dificulty in 2D floorplan view with the stairs, which only seem to display as transparent going downstairs and solid white going up. This does not look good if the plans are to be printed on to a colored paper/background. Also the "Up" and "Dn" text shows on a white background. The main reason for upgrading would be for greater flexibility, which the product seems to have, but I have come unstuck with this one. Can anyone help.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for visiting the forum. I have read your post several times and can't figure out exactly what you are asking. Can you post a reply with a question?
It seems to be related to Chief Architect. You might want to post on the ChiefTalk forum. http://www.chieftalk.com/

Changing the line style should afect it and you can use a cad box over it..
X1 has a fill style box..Allen Colburn Jr.

Hi fellas, thanks for replying,
I certainly will try the Chief Forum, and sadly changing the line style doesnt work. What I want to achieve is a completely trasparent fill colour on a stairway while in 2D floorplan mode. Currentley the fill is white, and there seems to be a facility to change fill color on everything else but the stairs.

If you use the dashed line it will be transparent..
In Chief X1 there is a fill tab to change it..Allen Colburn Jr.
