Changing All Exterior Walls

I've laid out a basic design including all exterior and interior walls, windows and doors. I now want to change all exterior walls to brick. Is there a simple way to do this? When I click on one wall and try to change it b double-clicking and changeing the materials, it accepts my change, but nothing is done to the wall. I'm missing something somple I'm sure. Thanks for any insight.

There are two ways that I know of that are decently QUICK.

1. Select edit on tool bar, and then default. Locate the exterior, and change the default setting to brick.

2. Right click somewhere NEAR the exterior of your building until the whole thing is greyed out. You should get a dialogue box that allows you to select "open object", when open you will find exterior and interior and then you can change you exterior material to brick.
