    Wall Decorating

    How do you decorate half of a wall one way and the other half a different way??

    Use the Wall Break tool.

    Click on the Wall Tool on the toolbar. Then click on thr Break Tool (see attached)

    Please advise which BHG product you are using; there may be a better solution to your question based upon heirarchy within the product line.

    Also, you have to tell us which half you want to change. Lots of people ask this question but it's completely ambiguous.

    If you want to change the wall so the inside and outside are different, you could change this by changing the room material for the room on each side of the wall or through the wall specification dialog by changing either the interior or exterior material.

    If you want to change a wall so that it has a different material at some point along it, you would want to break the wall into two sections using the wall break tool like Rick suggests.

    If you want to change a wall so that it has a different top and bottom material, you can do this in Deluxe using the wall covering tools. You can either do this for a whole room or just for one wall in the room dialog or the wall dialog. For those that don't have Deluxe, you can always use a thin soffit on the wall to get the same effect.
