adding a roof

I have a new structure that I would like to put a hip roof on. However it changes the roof over the house radically. Can I build this roof in the same drawing with the house.

add the new roof in manually if your version allows you too

I have version 7.08. I've tried setting the walls for different options and check the build roof over this room option, but nothing happens.
If I hit build roof, all the roofs change.

Are you talking about the small "outbuilding" in the upper left of the picture?

Did you build the house using any manually drawn roof planes.

You mention version 7.08. Is the HD Pro 7.08?

Yes it's the small bldg. in back. I have the deluxe 7.08.
I had to resize the walls on the main house, build the roof , and then put the walls back to the original dimensions to get the existing roof features.

Why did you have to resize the wall, build the roof, etc? Is this a 1-1/2 story house?

Is the "room" in the Shed named?
And you say that you have the "Roof Over this Room" box checked?

Can you post a picture of your plan?
