Create a room individually without creating the entire floor?

Very new user here--I want to create individual rooms (for different clients), and don't really want to create their entire house plans. Is there a way to only create individual rooms without doing the exterior walls, and complete floorplan??

Of course. But you are still going to need to have a room defined by completing enclosing it with walls, railings, invisible walls or a combination of these to be able to get a Room Specification dialog to be able to set the materials for the floor, walls, ceiling, etc.
