Round terrain feature is not perfectly circular
Hi,
When I create a round terrain feature it is not round, but a kind of rounded off rectangle. I compared it to a CAD circle and it is not round. Also is there any way to set the diameter of a round terrain feature? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Howard

Howard:
You didn't say which version you had.
If you have HD Pro (I can't speak for the other versions):
Method 1:
Place a rectangular terrain feature.
Get it square.I use "move object using dimension".
Select the feature.
Hold down the "f" key (letter f).
Grab a corner handle and drag inward as far as it will go.
Do the same for the other corners.
Method 2:
Place a CAD circle.
Select circle and click on "convert polyline" button on the edit toolbar.
In the dialog box select terrain feature and click OK.
Both methods work for other objects such as slabs and countertops.Doug S.

Doug, thanks for the help, but I have Home Designer 8.0 not Pro so these don't work for me. Sorry, I should have said. Thanks, Howard

Maybe a Geometric Shape - a cylinder - would work just as well?
Not that great an idea - I noticed that even the ones
that are supposed to be round are actually polygonal.
Might not matter if it's not too large?
This assumes you're on flat terrain. If it's sloped and you need
the object to follow the slope, then of course you need a terrain feature.
As usual David's suggestion looks like the best way to go...Doug S.
