railings - specify distance?
Is it possible to specify the distance between posts in a railing.
I tried to use railing to show in 3D where different posts/pillars are. please see picture included.
Are there another way of putting posts in the construction e.g. as a pillar in a room?/Janne - using Designer Pro 6.04

The way to place posts will depend on the version of Home Designer you are using.
I the Pro version you can specify the distance between post in a railing by opening the properties and going to the Newels/Balusters tab and specifying the "on center" distance.
In Suite you do not have this option.
You could place a soffit and modify it in a way to create a post. You can then place it anywhere you like.
Additionally in the pro version you have the ability to place a framing member that is a post.Dan Park

You can use the Break Wall tool to control where the program puts posts in railings.
There are some columns in the millwork library that can be placed in a room where ever you want.
