better quality renderings?
Is there a way to make the renderings better quality, or more real looking?
it takes like 5 sec to render an image with shadows and everything.. but it doesn't really look realistic. It looks rather cartoonist..
so I was wondering if there is some secret option or something that could make renderings better.
The default settings are already at high.

The keys to better quality renderings are:
1. Modelling. More detailed models look more realistic then simple ones.
2. Lighting. Adjusting lighting properties can make all the difference in the world.
3. Materials. Adjusting material properties, especially texture quality and scaling, can have a big effect.
You don't mention which version of Home Designer you are using but Architectural Home Designer and Home Designer Pro both have better lighting and material tools that allow you more control then you get in the other Home Designer products.

Chief Architect has something called raytracing that isn't available in the Home Designer programs which allows for the creation of more photo-realistic images.
