Frequent Error 999 messages
Hi - I’m a fairly new Pro 7 user and am finding Pro 7 - a great improvement on suite 6.
My problem is that I get the error message 999 "an unexpected error occurred - "You should use SAVE AS to save your current work in a new file and restart the program".
This seems most often to occur when working with staircases e.g. joining a straight section to a curved one. It has also occurred editing roof pains. I seem to be getting more of these errors now - Is it OK to simply shut down and reopen the saved file or do I need to go back to a pre error state? Any Ideas why I am getting these errors and any suggestions on how to reduce the incidence? (OS is XP Pro)
Thanks

Make certain that you download the latest update. If these problems persist after you have updated the software you should contact technical support.

Same thing is happening to me.
I also recently purchased and loaded Pro on my computer (about Sept. 25th), and immediately went to the web for any updates (none were available).
I've had the same error and was advised by the error window to execute a "save as" w/ a new file name & restart the program.
This has happened to me mostly when trying to use "edit area" from one file to another when both opened & tiled. The program will freeze up. Often times, even before I could "save as", the file would corrupt.
Luckily I've learned to occasionally create a back-up file when not prompted, so I haven't suffered a true and tragic disaster
I'll definitely contact tech support about this one.
