Installation Error - "This installation package could not be opened."

I purchased Home Designer Architect Download last evening. It seemed to download fine but when it went to install I received the following error message:

"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."

I am running Vista Home Premium. I used Mozilla Firefox to as the web browser (not sure if this is important).

I searched all of the forums and can't find a solution.

What does the error message mean and what is the solution. I am anxious to start using the program

I got that error once. I redownloaded the software and it worked fine.

A search of Google for that warning message indicates the same as what Lamina already told you. Most common reason for getting that error is a corrupt or incomplete download. Delete the broken one, redownload and most times it will be fixed.
