Clipped base cabinet corner disappears.
Hello HomeTalk Q&A,
This is my first post so I hope I've done it correctly. I created a base kitchen cabinet with an extended depth of 27" and 4.25” clipped corners. When I place this cabinet next to a standard one the clipped corner is removed. Is there any way of keeping the clipped corner once it is moved flush to the adjoining cabinet? An advanced search turned up little information on clipped cabinet corners. The cabinet is to be use for a bumped out sink.
Thanks,
StShepard

I tried the same thing (I think) in Home Designer Pro 2012 and got the same unwanted results but I also came up with a work-round (see video at You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63jFo...ature=youtu.be)

Hello David,
Thanks for the YouTube video. The work around you suggest is something that I have used before that somewhat works. The only issue I found with the skinny side cabinet work around is the toe-kick interface between the cabinets intersects improperly. This can be seen somewhat in your example with the front part of the main cabinet toe kick protruding past the intersection of the angled side cabinet toe-kick. I have this same problem with the toe-kick with angled base cabinets at the end of a cabinet run.
Hopefully this issue will be addressed in a future update. In the meantime I'll use the workaround you suggested and ignore the toe-kick glitch.
Again thanks for time and advice,
StShepard

StShepard and David. I cannot create the clipped cabinet view originally shown. When I open the cabinet dialogue and check clipped, only the countertops are clipped while the base cabinet remains square. How do you achieve that look for both the base cabinet and the counter?? Thanks, Bill B.

The countertop is set under the "General" tab, while the cabinet is set under the "Front" tab.
