1/2 height walls telegraphing impression onto ceiling
When I create a room with a pitched roof above, then vault the ceiling by unchecking a checkmark on ceiling over this room, and then proceed to create half-height walls, which then create a room within that room (it's a walk-in kitchen pantry), the shape of the half-height room (the pantry) telegraphs onto the ceiling above. In fact, it makes a depression in the ceiling showing the underside of the asphalt shingles. Makes my rendering look very amateurish and at the least not accurate. Any ideas? I'm using Designer Pro 10.
Thanks,

In the pantry, also remove the ceiling, and place a custom slab there to represent the ceiling.
Then make the other walls "solid railings" set to the height you require, that should handle the unwanted indentations in the vaulted ceiling, If you have Pro you can also add "Custom Ceiling Planes" at a slightly lower pitch which should handle the indentations in the ceiling.
You can patch such ceiling indentations using sloped soffits as well, there is no single, one fits all, solution for any problem, usually more than one.

Thanks, I will try custom ceiling planes first to see if that solves the problem.

Here is the custom ceiling...I had sent the roof plane detail last time in error. Still see the indentations.
