    Front Wall Causing Dormer Issues

On this particular drawing, I am attempting to do a 1.5 story home. I have it set to have a roof over the front porch. The issue I am having is the wall above the front windows/doors. I have it highlighted in the cross section view. When I set my interior wall at the 8 ft ceiling mark, and place my dormer, it has the window so high in the wall of the room. After doing this cross section view, I noticed exactly what was causing the dormer issue, but I do not know how to resolve. Thank you.

What or how are your "Dormer Defaults" set, I wonder? (Edit - Default Settings - Dormer), your default settings tend to control all outcomes in this software.

I was able to resolve this issue. What needed to be done is set the dormer out over the front porch. This allowed the dormer to come down into the room.
