Wrap Around Porch
I am designing a two story house (28 ft. side x 44 ft. front ) with a wrap-around porch on the first level. The porch on the left side of the house is 6 feet deep (out from the house) and is covered by a shed roof. The porch on the front of the house is 6 ft. deep, is covered by a shed roof, and is connected to the left side porch. The porch on the right side of the house is 12 ft. deep, is covered by a gable roof, and connects to the front porch so that the front porch pitch continues up the right side of the house to the gable peak and then down from the peak to the back edge of the house.
This is the traditional rectangular two story house with the wrap-around porch on the front and both sides except that the porch on the right side has a gable roof rather than a shed roof. The roofs and the decks of the porches on the front and both sides are all connected.
How can I draw this roof?
Thanks,
Sam

Roofs are not directly controllable.
You control the wall styles and the roof is automatically drawn by the software. If you want a gable end on a roof you will access the wall properties box and set the wall full height. Like magic the programme generates the roof for you.
Read the manual. All the basics are covered in it. This software is instinctive only after you know the basics.BH&G Pro Rev. 7.08
