    Stair Help

I am having a heckuva time figuring out the stair tools. I've got a study adjacent to my entry foyer (see attached image) that will only be accessible via the stairs themselves. What I'd like to do is have the stairs go up a step or two, then a landing outside the study, then have the stairs turn 90 degrees and continue up to the second floor.

I've tried drawing straight stairs into the study, then a second straight stair up to the second floor, then a landing between them, but that doesn't work (or more likely I'm doing it wrong). Also tried drawing the landing first and then the stairs, but I can't figure that one out, either. Landing isn't the right height (and I can find no way to adjust it) and the stairs don't meet it as they're supposed to.

Would be grateful if somebody could give me a push in the right direction.

draw your 2 steps then the second set going up to the second floor then without changing tools click in the elbow of the 2 stair sections and an auto landing should generate. You can then move the whole set by clicking on one of the stair sections.
