    Electrical Keys

Hi I wonder if anyone could help me, currently I am doing an electrical layout of a room I am getting to grips with how to do this but my question is I would like to send it to layout and put in a title block along with a key (with a picture of, for example, recessed lights and an explanation of the type of recessed light) so this layout could then be used by electricians.

    How would I do this?

    Any help appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    /Hanna

Hi I am using Home Designer Pro 2014, I would like to use electrical symbols in my layout for example the image assigned to a double socket (circle and two line through it) and to place this in the key or note section I have created, I can then give an explanation of what that symbol represents. I really just need to know how to get individual electrical symbols in my layout separate from floor plans.

    I hope this make sense.

    Thanks

    Hanna,
You may be able to get what you are looking for by adding a "rich text" box to your layout. Put whatever your symbols & descriptions are. Then you can place that box where you want on the layout without having it be a part of a floor plan. I hope this helps?
